The Congress in Karnataka has released more taped conversation in which the BJP leader is trying to lure a Congress MLA with money and ministries and in return to switch the sides.

The tape is released Hours before the floor test of the B S Yeddyurappa government in the Karnataka assembly.

In the call, Yeddyurappa is allegedly heard saying to MLA BC Patil, “Come back, we’ll make you a Minister and help you in whatever way you want.” In response to the offer, BC Patil is heard asking what ministry he would get, and if 3 other MLAs along with him will also get a position.

The audio tape is released by Congress MLC V S Ugrappa and Rajya Sabha MP Rajeev Gowda who said that it was a clear attempt of BJP to bribe their MLA to vote for chief minister BS Yeddyurappa as BJP needs seven more votes to prove majority in the Legislative Assembly.

Earlier also, Congress had released the audio tape on Friday in which there was an explosive release by the Congress through the conversation between Congress MLA Basavanagouda Daddal and Reddy, in which Gali Janardhan Reddy had approached Congress MLA to cross vote in favour of the BJP.

In the audio Reddy allegedly says: “I will personally ensure that you have a one-on-one meeting with our national president. And whatever you want, whatever ministry will be done. The assets you have made so far will increase by 100 times, Basanagouda.” In reply, Daddal says he does not want to betray Congress and its leaders as they came to him “when I was on my last legs” and gave him the ticket. “I have respect and admiration for you sir, but sorry,” he says.

Union Minister Prakash Javadekar claimed, “It is a fake video and a product of the Congress’ dirty tricks department.”
