BSP leader Mohd Yakub Qureshi’s daughter went to a school in Meerut along with husband and 8 more men carrying a 'whip' with herself in order to 'beat' a girl who apparently complain to the school teacher about her daughter's absence from the class in the last two days.

Najma, daughter of Mohd Yakub, splashed in Meerut Public Girls School and barged into a class 8 room to hit a girl named Alisha who happened to complain about Najma's dear daughter Ramsha to the class teacher.

Ramsha didn't come to school for 2 days and Alisha ended up disclosing this to the teacher which led to a furious Najma losing her senses and planning to beat the little girl for her action. The teacher tried to invade in between but it resulted in an even more ugly fight and school property being vandalized.

An FIR has been filed by Alisha's father.

'On Monday, at around 7:45am, the mother of Alisha’s classmate Ramsha along with her husband, two other women and eight-odd men entered the classroom carrying a whip. They started beating my daughter Alisha and three other classmates Ilma, Paranu and Sheher. When the teacher, Mamta Kapoor, tried to intervene, the group misbehaved with her. The mother and relatives of Ramsha claimed that my daughter had complained to the class teacher that Ramsha had bunked school and gone out with her boyfriend', said Yusuf, Alisha's father. The entire incident has reportedly been recorded in the CCTV footage of the school.

'An FIR has been filed against Ramsha’s mother and several others under sections 147 (rioting), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 504(intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC. An investigation will be done now to verify the complaint', said Pankaj Pant, station officer, Sadar police station.

Vikram Shastri, director, Meerut Public School group said, 'I am out of town and hence aware of the case only in bits and pieces. But I have been told that a student as well as a teacher have been misbehaved with and manhandled. We are recording all the evidence we have at hand and will take legal action after hiring an advocate.'

BSP leader Mohd Yakub Qureshi told TOI, 'My granddaughter did not go to school for two consecutive days but her classmates falsely complained to the teacher that she had bunked school and gone out with her boyfriend. On Saturday, the teacher beat up Ramsha. My daughter Najma had complained to the school authorities and we were even assured of action against the teacher. But nobody beat up any student or teacher in the school. These are false allegations.
