NWI Exclusive: Audio Intercepted, Militants Plan Major Attack In Kashmir On EID

Mere days before the occasion of Islamic festival Eid, security forces have intercepted an audio conversation of militants talking about making a major strike on the day of celebrations in the Kashmir Valley.

A militant in Pakistani urdu accent is heard talking about "sacrificing many banyas (apparently referring to Indian  troopers) on the occasion Muslim festival of Eid in Kashmir.

The intercept comes days after Jaish-e-Muhammad Fidayeen militants carried out major strike on DPL Pulwama and killer eight security personnel.

Talking to a media outlet, Kashmir Inspector General of Police, Munir Khan said that the security forces had intercepted a telephonic conversation between Jaish-e-Mohammad commander Waleed, who is in Pakistan and Kashmir operatives of the terrorist group.

Earlier, the security forces had killed three Jaish-e-Mohammad militants at District Police Lines in Kashmir's Pulwama, after a suicide offensive in which eight security personnel of the J&K Police and CRPF also lost their lives.

The security is already tight in Kashmir and IGP Munir Khan has already admitted to presence of Jaish militants roaming in southern districts and in Srinagar.
