The BJP has achieved massive success across the nation, except in Delhi, where it has not won in 24 years. National president of the BJP Amit Shah has launched a two-day camp 'Mission Delhi' which is designed to examine and analyse the party's failures in the state and its poll preparedness.

Although BJP has managed to win the Municipal Corporation elections, it has faced repeated defeats in the Delhi Assembly elections since 1993. A series of 16 meetings have been scheduled over the next two days, where Shah will analyse the causes of BJP's successive defeats in the capital. He will also check the BJP's preparedness for polls and chalk out strategies for Delhi.

The Delhi BJP leadership will begin the 'Mission Delhi' on Friday by giving a detailed presentation on the current political equations, caste combinations and demographic divide in the city. According to reports, the 'passive approach' of BJP in nearly 15 constituencies, where it has never won, is a part of the reason behind the party's defeats in Delhi.

"A comprehensive report on caste equations, slum dwellers and demographic division of Delhi's voters has been prepared. We will examine the cause of defeat as well as future strategy to strengthen the party in the National Capital," a senior leader said.

The presentation will categorise each of the booths and assemblies into 3 sections, A, B and C. 'A' category will represent segments where the party has never lost, 'B' category where the party has won with a tough fight and 'C' category areas where the party has never won.

In addition, the state unit has prepared a comprehensive report on voting patterns in slum areas, unauthorised colonies, and areas dominated by migrant voters.
