Weeks after posters of Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi and President Sonia Gandhi were put up in their respective constituencies alleging they were 'missing', similar posters of Prime Minister Narendra Modi have appeared in his constituency Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh.

The Prime Minister, who was last seen in his Lok Sabha constituency, Varanasi, during his campaign rallies back in March, has been declared 'missing' from his constituency, according to the poster.

The poster has the Prime Minister's picture and says, "Lapata Varanasi Sansad"(Missing - Varanasi MP) followed by a satirical comment "Jane Vo Kon sa Desh Jaha Tum Chale Gae" (Who knows where you went), which are the lyrics of a famous Bollywood song.

Earlier, similar posters of Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi had appeared in his constituency - Amethi and Congress President Sonia Gandhi's in - Raebareli.

The Congress had blamed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for putting up these posters of top Congress leaders.

However, in Varanasi, reports say the Police has taken down all the posters from the city overnight.
