7 Injured In Grenade Attack On Security Forces In Jammu And Kashmir’s Anantnag District

Militants hurled a grenade on security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's at Sherbagh Chowk  Anantnag district on Thursday, injuring seven people, including three women and two CRPF jawans.

"The explosion resulted in injuries to five persons, including three women, and two CRPF jawans," the police said.

The injured were identified as Rehana Begum, Sobiya Jan, Naza Begum, all three residents of Anchidora; Irfan Dar, a resident of Lal Chowk Anantnag and Mohd Hussain, a resident of Sofipora.

Two injured CRPF jawans were identified as Narender Kumar and Vishal Patel of 96 Battalion. "All were shifted to the hospital for the treatment of their injuries," said the police.

This is the second grenade attack on security forces in south Kashmir in the past two days.  Ultras hurled a grenade on a police station in Kulgam district on Wednesday, injuring three civilians.
