3 Arrested For Raping Kenyan National In Gurugram

The Gurugram Police on Friday arrested three men in the rape case of a Kenyan national in the area on on Thursday at around 12:30 AM. Sunder aged 31, Praveen aged 24 and Mohit aged 21 were arrested from Ghata village. They confessed to the crime and claimed that there were two other men with them. The vehicle used in the crime was also held in custody of the Gurugram Police.

Kuldeep Yadav, Deputy Commissioner of Police, East Gurugram said ”The incident took place while the victim was returning home from a party. The victim was offered a lift by this group of men at around 12:30 AM near Bristol Chowk of M.G. Road. In response to the victim’s complaint, a team was made to nab the men. The accused men belong to the Ghata village and Behrampur village.”

“They looked decent, so I accepted their offer. As I sat inside the car, they started misbehaving with me. They took the car towards Golf Course Road. After driving for some distance, they stopped outside a house. The three dragged me inside, where two other men were already present. There all five men raped me. After a while, they called five more people who also came and raped me,” the woman told cops.

“We have registered an FIR against the men under Section 376D of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and have recorded the statement of the victim, under Section 164 of Criminal Procedure Code. The medical test of the victim will take place soon,” added Deputy Commissioner of Police Yadav.
