Telangana campaign committee chairperson Vijayashanti addressed the Rahul Gandhi's rally and charged PM Narendra Modi of terrorizing people and that many were seeing him as a terrorist because of his actions.
She passed the comments just before Congress president Rahul Gandhi launched the party’s poll campaign in Telangana at a party workers’ meeting near Hyderabad.
During the rally, Vijayashanti stated that “It’s a war between Congress and BJP, and a contest is between en Rahul Gandhi and Narendra Modi. While Modi's goal is an autocracy, Rahul’s soul is the democracy. Modi is murdering democracy by ruling as a dictator.
“The PM is terrorising the people of the country. Right from demonetization to GST and Pulwama, Modi has been terrorising people on all issues. Modi looks like a terrorist because of his acts” She added.
Whereas, Congress recently released the first poll list and stated that the party would contest on all seats in the state, which sends 80 lawmakers to the Lok Sabha. Certainly, The list was finalized at an over hour-long meeting by the party's central election committee chaired by Rahul Gandhi.
The list comprises of 4 Lok Sabha seats in Gujarat and 11 in Uttar Pradesh where a formal alliance with the three-party combine led by Akhilesh Yadav, Mayawati, and Ajit Singh did not work out.
SP’s Akhilesh Yadav and BSP supremo Mayawati have, however, already announced that their front would not contest elections from Rae Bareli or Amethi to ensure that they did not cut into the anti-BJP votes in seats represented by the Congress president and his mother.
