'If Congress Forms Govt Here, Girls Will Get Free Education,' Says Rahul Gandhi In Odisha

Congress president Rahul Gandhi visited Koraput district on Friday and later on, he addressed a public meeting at Jeypore, Odisha.

Before addressing the rally, Gandhi interacted with women at Sibasai Kalyan Mandap on the occasion of International Women's Day.

On the eve of Women's Day, Congress chief Rahul Gandhi made an announcement, he said, "If Congress forms the government in Odisha, girls will get a free education."

"If voted to power, we will pass women’s quota bill," Rahul added.

"We will ensure passage of women’s reservation bill if voted to power," Congress chief Rahul Gandhi at women’s convention in Odisha’s Jeypore.

Rahul further said, "Our approach is zero tolerance towards atrocities against women: Rahul Gandhi in Jeypore."

On the occasion of International Women’s Day on Friday Congress president Rahul Gandhi hailed the “undaunted, fighting spirit” of women and urged people to recommit themselves to breaking barriers that hinder a woman’s path to freedom and equality.

His party added that both UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi between September 2017 and July 2018, urging him to pass the Women’s Reservation Bill and assuring their unconditional support to it.
