With millions of people currently struggling with 'Diabetes' the problem have attained the status of an epidemic worldwide. diabetes1 Thus, World Health Organisation (WHO) chose the World Health Day 2016 as an opportunity to disseminate knowledge and create awareness among people about 'diabetes'. It is marking the day with the theme 'Beat diabetes'. Health experts believe that the problem has been growing at an alarming rate mainly from unhealthy eating habits, lack of physical activity and stress, improving these habits can result in a 'win-win' situation over the problem. Here are five tips to beat the type 2 diabetes: Increase physical activity: Walk, dance, hit the gym or just choose any of the outdoor games to remain physically active. Improve diet: Eat fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains, beans, lean meats, and low-fat dairy. Avoid fast food.
