Human Body has very complicated features, many of which are still a mystery of the mankind. The reasoning for every action and reaction is not available but one question that was being asked for generations now is finally answered.

Fingers and Toes when seeped into the water for a while, start getting wrinkles. Though, as soon as they appear, they disappear as well. Earlier theories suggested that keeping fingers in water for a long time leads to absorption of moisture from the skin, leading to skin's wrinkling.

Though a new research has dismissed all earlier assumptions and found out the real reason behind it. Apparently, a long exposure of skin to water leads to the contraction of blood vessels resulting in pruney fingers.

The process is controlled by the nervous system and leads to lost sensitivity in hands. It helps in making a good grip in water.
