Navratri 2015 Day 4: Dedicated To Maa Kushmanda

Navratri-day-4On the fourth day of nine divine nights of Navratri, Goddess Kushmanda is worshipped. Maa Kushmanda is the fourth form of the goddess Durga and is considered as the creator of the universe with her divine smile. She is also known as Ashtabhuja Devi as goddess has eight hands. It is believed that all the power to bestow Siddhis and Niddhis are located in her Jap Mala. Devi Kushmanda is seen holding weapons like kamandalu, bow, arrow, a jar of nectar, discus, mace and a lotus in her hands. She rides a lion who personifies dharma.
