The rights of the LGBT community are very conveniently ignored in our country but no one realises how inhuman it is to snatch a basic living choice from people.

But even if India remains rigid on the issue, the rest of the world is changing and there is a beautiful story of how 24-year-old Jahed Choudhury, with roots in Bangladesh, got married to his partner Sean Rogan, 19, becoming Britain's first ever Muslim man to have a gay wedding.

But Jahed had a difficult time living his entire childhood with a complex that he is different, thanks to our orthodox society.

Jahed was so depressed once that he went on to change is sexual orientation and have a girlfriend. He even went to Saudi Arabia and looked for some peace but when everything failed, he decided to quit his life.

And right onto his last journey, Jahed happened to meet Sean who made him realise the goodness of life. they lived together for 2 years and fell in love. On Sean's birthday this year, Jahed proposed to him for marriage and, of course, he agreed.

Jahed says, 'I was crying on a bench and Sean came over and asked if I was okay. He gave me hope at one of my lowest points and he's stood by me all the way'.

Jahed also added, 'I want to say to all people going through the same thing that it's okay - we're going to show the whole world that you can be gay and Muslim'.

The couple is now happily married and the dark clouds swimming over Jahed's head for his entire childhood seem to finally end.
