In a big setback for the BJP, Congress Harish Rawat finally won the floor test by five votes on Tuesday. Now, the president rule has been revoked in the state and it will again see Harish Rawat as its Chief Minister.

March 19: Governor ask Rawat to seek trust vote on March 28. Speaker issues notice to rebels.
March 20: Rawat gets the timeline of 9 days to prove his majority in the assembly.
March 21: Congress expelled Saket Bhaguna, accusing him of performing anti-party activities.
March 22: Congress, BJP sought President's intervention in the issue.
March 26: Sting video shows CM Rawat offering money to rebels. Governor sends report to Centre. Union cabinet recommends Central rule
March 27: President's rule imposed in the state.
March 28: Harish Rawat moves HC against imposition of President’s Rule
April 20: Uttarakhand HC slams Centre, says it was acting like a 'private company'
April 21: Uttarakhand HC quashes President’s Rule in Uttarakhand. Orders floor test in Assembly on April 29.
April 22: Centre files a plea in Supreme Court against Uttarakhand HC orders.
April 27: Supreme Court extended stay on HC order and said no floor test will take place.
May 6: SC ordered floor test in Uttarakhand assembly on May 10.
May 9: Supreme Court rejected the plea to vote by nine Congress MLAs, who were disqualified from the Uttarakhand Assembly, during the floor test on May 10.
May 10: Floor Test Concluded in Uttarakhand Assembly.
May 11: Harish Rawat wins floor test by 5 votes, sc ask centre to revoke President rule.
