Sarbananda Sonowal Sworn-In As First BJP Chief Minister Of Assam

Sarbananda Sonowal has been sworn-in as the chief minister of on Tuesday. Following Sonowal, Himanta Biswa Sarma took oath as a minister today. The oath taking ceremony has been organised at the Veterinary College in Guwhati city and the whole city has literally turned into a security fortress for the ceremony. The ceremony is being attended by over 100 VVIPs including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President Amit Shah, chief ministers of NDA-ruled states and northeastern states, yoga Guru Baba Ramdev, Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and several other union ministers and veteran BJP leaders. According to reports, former CM Tarun Gogoi was also present at the oath taking ceremony.
