The notorious Al-Qaida terrorist group, which has played an active role in Afghanistan, is now planning to play a more active role in India, especially by targeting Indian security installations according to a recent document released by the organisation.

Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan on Wednesday granted extension of two weeks to the nine-member committee constituted to probe AAP MP Bhagwant Mann's security breach video. The committee was supposed to submit its report today.
The committee was assigned to probe Mann's conduct and his act of live streaming his journey to, and inside the Parliament, and also inquire into the serious security implications and suggest suitable remedial measures to avoid recurrence of such incidents.
Apart from being headed by Kirit Somaiya of the BJP, the committee includes Meenakshi Lekhi and Satyapal Singh (both BJP), Anandrao Adsul (Shiv Sena), Bhartruhari Mahtab (BJD), Ratna De (Trinamool Congress), Thota Narasimham (Telugu Desam), K C Venugopal (Congress) and P Venugopal (AIADMK).
Shiromani Akali Dal's Prem Singh Chandumajra, Bharatiya Janata Party's Maheish Girri and suspended AAP MP Harinder Singh Khalsa on Tuesday wrote to Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan, urging her to send Mann to rehab at the Lok Sabha's expense.
The MPs urged the Speaker to ensure that Mann is allowed to take part in Lok Sabha proceedings only after completing rehab.
The Speaker has advises MP Bhagwant Mann to not attend Parliament proceedings until a decision is taken.
Mann is currently not attending the Monsoon Session after he came under fire for the
Parliament security breach incident.
