Kerala: Student Unions' Protest Against Self Financing Management College Agreement[/caption]
Kerala student unions on Monday held protest outside the Secretariat in Trivandrum, against self financing management college agreement.
Earlier this month, the state government has reached an agreement on the medical seats with the Private Self Financing Medical College Managements.

According to the signed agreement, an annual fee of Rs 25,000 has been fixed for the 20 per cent of the 50 per cent merit seats that is reserved for students for financially backward sections. In the remaining 30 per cent of the merit seats, an annual fee of Rs 2.5 lakh has been fixed.
The management Association had been demanding Rs 4. 4 lakh for these 30 per cent of seats,. Last year, the annual fee for this 30 per cent of seat was Rs 1.85 lakh.
It agreed on an annual fee of Rs 11 lakh for the 35 per cent of management seats and a fee of Rs 15 lakh for the remainng 15 per cent of NRI seats.
