At least 43 soldiers have been killed, and 9 others wounded in a coordinated attack claimed by the Taliban on a military base in the Kandahar province of Afghanistan on Thursday.

The 'Nirbhay Yatra' commenced by BJP leader Sangeet Som, who was an accused in 2013 Muzaffarnagar riots, has been halted on his way.
Som on Friday went ahead with the ‘Nirbhay Yatra’ in Meerut, in spite of BJP state President telling him not to hold hold the yatra.
"BJP workers won't do anything which will affect law & order of state, will stall Yatra at places where Section 144 has been imposed," Sangeet Som.
