One person was pronounced dead and 3 were severely injured in an accident that took place near Kashmere Gate in Delhi, early this morning. Teens from the national capital's top school, wanted to celebrate after their last board exam and their idea of celebration was high speeding. It soon came spiraling down after the car mowed down people sleeping by the road.

Their car rammed into the pavement by the road, at 5:45 am on Thursday. A homeless man sleeping on the pavement was instantly killed as the car lost control and rammed into the pavement. The two kids and the driver, who allegedly did not have licence, were arrested.
Three others who were critically injured, identified as Asif, Karan and Sanjay, have been admitted at the Sushruta Trauma Centre near Civil Lines.

According to a witness, the car, a Hyundai i20, was being driven at very high speed and the teenager lost control and drove on a pavement where several homeless people were sleeping. Two other school boys immediately fled the scene of crime.
"They were driving recklessly. After investigation we got to know that the one driving the car does not have a license," said police officer Jatin Narwal.
