According to reports, the D-Company shooters were assigned the task of targeting senior target RSS leaders and churches in order to spread communal hatred in the country. The NIA found that D-Company members — Pakistan-based Javed Chikna and South Africa-based Zahid Miyan alias 'Jao' — had also planned attacks on religious leaders and churches.
