Court Rejects Chhagan Bhujbal’s Bail Plea In Maharashtra Sadan Scam

(Image: IANS)[/caption] After extending judicial custody of Chhagan Bhujbal and his nephew Sameer Bhujbal till May 25, the PMLA court on Friday rejected Chhagan Bhujbal’s bail plea too. Bhujbal’s counsels had applied for bail on medical grounds, saying the leader suffers from serious ailments that need constant monitoring, The former Maharashtra minister was arrested on March 14 in connection with the multi-crore Maharashtra Sadan scam. The Enforcement Directorate is probing Bhujbal, his son Pankaj and nephew Sameer in the case concerning a contract the former allegedly gave a builder in 2005 without inviting tenders when he was the state's PWD minister.
