WEST BENGALThe victory celebrations at Asansol, West Bengal turned violent on Thursday afternoon as TMC supporters allegedly vandalized into CPI(M) office and set the property on fire. Trends show Mamata Banerjee's TMC looks well set to form the next government in the state with a two-thirds majority. In the early afternoon, TMC party workers and supporters celebrated the electoral triumph by smearing green ‘abeer’ — the dry colour used in Holi festival — on one another’s faces and blew conch shells. Subhendu Adhikary and Firhad Hakim, whose names cropped up in the Narada sting, have won from Nandigram and Kolkata Port constituencies respectively. Mamata Banerjee herself has won from Bhawanipore by over 25,000 votes.
