Amid the Samajwadi Party Feud CM Akhilesh has allegedly spoke against the SP leader Amar Singh, to which he replied and said that, "Even if Akhilesh abuses me, I will not respond to him, not because I am scared but just because I cannot deny the fact that Mulayam Singh is brother to me and I am Akhilesh's Uncle". Amar Singh also mentioned that, "Once during a gathering Mulayam Singh announced in front of everyone that Amar Singh is my brother and also said that I will support Amar Singh till my last breath, so I am also committed to him and I will do the same for him till my last breath". According to a report, Akhilesh has also called Amar Singh "Dalal", on which Amar Singh got deeply hurt and said, "I was the only one who was the only one who stood by Akhilesh when his family was against his marriage to Dimple Yadav".
