Days after taking the credit for the exit of Raghuram Rajan as the Governor of the reserve Bank of India, BJP MP Subramanian Swamy on Wednesday targeted the Chief Economic Adviser to the government, Arvind Subramanian.
"He used to work in America, don’t even know if he's a citizen or not but I'm sure he has a green card," Swamy told the media today.
"There was this American Congress Committee for pharmaceutical purposes, there was a hearing to figure out India’s opinion on matter,so he said in statement that India isn't working according to America in this matter and for that they should be taught a lesson in WTO," he added.
"Then he came here and gave a note to the Finance Ministry saying that the note Congress gave on GST Bill, all clauses are absolutely justified."
While questioning on being the chief economic adviser to the Indian government, Swamy said, "Such people who can fail our Govt, such people should be tossed out. Now, its been two years. How can we can such a person an adviser here?"
