India and Pakistan never fail to find ways to put the other down. Now, preceding Independence Day, Pakistan has found a new frontier for calling out India, the flag.
Tricolour was hoisted on August 13, at the Attari Border by Amritsar district administration after the break of more than 3 months due to lack of funds. The flag, being 360 ft. tall was claimed to be one of the tallest in the world.
Later Pakistan hoisted a 400 ft. flag at Wagah Border, on their Independence Day, claiming it to be the 8th tallest flag in the world.
Pakistan's army chief, Qamar Javed Bajwa while addressing Pakistan's population claimed that Pakistan’s flag is the symbol of its dignity. He further added, “We will foil the nefarious designs of anyone, who will try to cast an evil eye on Pakistan.”
So far, the tricolour has been destroyed four times due to the wind and had to be taken down. It was hoisted back on Sunday for the celebrations of Independence Day. It will be up till August 16 and will only be unfurled on significant days.
