The Indian army, which was taking part in Moscow's international Tank Biathlon, has been knocked out of the competition after both of its T-90 battle tanks broke down facing mechanical problems.

The Indian squad, as a result of the breakdown, wasn't able to compete in the competition.

This comes as a sad news for India as the country has topped the chart in their previous round.

On the other hand, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and China have moved to the final round of the competition. While Russia and Kazakhstan are participating in the competition with their T-72B3 tanks, Belarus is showcasing its T-72 all while China is riding its indigenous Type 96B.

While India has been participating in the competition for three years now, this was the first time India was using its T-90 tanks to compete in the Biathlon. The army had said, "This year, for the first time, the team would be participating with own T-90 tanks which have been shipped to Russia."

It has also been said in the news report that design of these tanks was taken from Russia. This condition of our battle T-tank90 , on the face of it , could probably be a cause of concern while we may have to hear more from our defense experts and scientists on the technical snags developed during race of these tanks. While alerting nation for more care and appropriate strategy in relation to concerns which could have our focus in August 2017 , this Vedic astrology writer had said this : - “ Some issues could come to surface in relation to defense deals and cause uneasiness”. This was a part of the alerts in article “ 2017 – an opportune year for India with major worrisome concerns in February-March and August-September” issued widely to Indian news media last year in October and November 2016. It seems the alert was somewhere meaningful.
