Less than 24 hours after India voted in favour of the United Nations General Assembly resolution rebuking the United States on Thursday denouncing its decision to recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, its embassy in India has posted a ‘friendship video’ on twitter. Using the famous song ‘Yeh dosti hum nahi todengey, the video portrays Indian and American staff of the American Embassy In India dancing and posing to the tunes.

The video was meant to wish ‘Happy Holidays and a happy new year 2018’ to the people of India, celebrating the camaraderie between the two nations but its timing has made the video viral.
Hours before the US Embassy’s friendly video was tweeted, US representative in the United Nations Nikki Haley tweeted the video of her address at the UNGA where she says ‘America will put our embassy In Jerusalem...No vote in the United Nations will make any difference on that. But this vote will make a difference on how Americans look at the UN, and on how we look at countries who disrespect us in the UN.”
