"We have taken the step considering that over 27 lakh passengers use the metro network daily. Making them aware of the dos and dont's at this moment is essential considering the rising number of dengue cases," a Delhi Metro spokesman said. Apart from the banners, anti-dengue messages will scroll through metro's centralised display systems. However, there would be no voice announcements as of now. Awareness lectures about dengue prevention are being organised at Delhi Metro Rail Corporation's depots and residential colonies as well, the spokesman said.
