Accorded with state honours, Sridevi's mortal remains were taken to the Vile Parle Seva Samaj crematorium where her final rites were performed by husband Boney Kapoor. A decorated truck carried the actress along with her daughters Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor, stepson Arjun Kapoor and other close relatives.

Her mortal remains were kept at the Celebration Sports Club where many celebrities reached to pay her respects to the actress. As the procession of granting State honours goes, Sridevi's body was draped in the national flag as armed officers honoured her with a gun salute, following which she was taken for her final ride.

The 'Hawa Hawaai' actress has garnered millions of ardent fans over the years, many of whom were waiting for days to pay their farewell to their much-loved actress. To allow the commoners one last glimpse of Sridevi, Kapoor opened the gates of Celebration Club for them between 9:30 am to 12:30 pm.

With the cremation scheduled at 3:30 pm, Sridevi's funeral cortege is en route to the crematorium amid tight security. Fans are hounding the decorated van carrying Sridevi to catch a glimpse of the versatile actress who has left the world too soon. After the excruciating wait of three days, her mortal remains arrived Mumbai on Tuesday evening.

Sridevi was found unconscious in the bathtub of the hotel room by her husband Boney Kapoor, who rushed his wife to Rashid Hospital, where the authorities declared the actress dead. Boney Kapoor was also interrogated by Dubai Police as he was the only person present during Sridevi's death.
