Varun Dhawan had a stellar year due to the success of his two releases 'Badrinath ki Dulhania' and 'Judwaa 2'. The brilliant performance of Salman Khan's 1997 superhit's remake on box-office under the direction of its original maker David Dhawan sparked many speculations of another recreation.

Reports regarding the remake of Salman Khan and Karisma Kapoor's 'Biwi No. 1' starring Varun Dhawan were making rounds recently, however, the actor has now confirmed that no such project is in pipeline as of now and the rumours are utterly baseless with no authenticity.

While conversing with Mumbai Mirror, Dhawan confirmed, "Biwi No 1 is still just a rumour, I’ve done two films with dad and would love to do a third, but it could just be a completely original film this time."

The original director of Salman-Karisma starrer also dismissed the reports stating, "Good that people are speculating about what we will do next. We haven’t thought about remaking Biwi No 1 as of yet. Right now, we’re in the holiday mood.

The dotting father refused to reveal any of his future plans and said, "Let the new year begin and then we’ll think of what to do next. I know it is a convenient formula to do remakes and sequels. But we may surprise everyone by doing an entirely original film this time."

Varun Dhawan recently wrapped up shooting for Shoojit Sircar's 'October' which is slated to release on April 13, 2018. The actor will resume shooting for Yash Raj Film's 'Sui Dhaaga: Made in India' in February.
