Swami Om A Bicycle Thief? Former Bigg Boss Contestant Gets Arrested

One of the most controversial contestants on Bigg Boss season 10, self-styled godman Swami Om was arrested on Wednesday from Bhajanpura area of Delhi on charges of stealing bicycles and some papers from his brother 9 years ago.

Back in November 2008, Vinodanand Jha, popularly known as Swami Om, had an FIR registered against him at the Lodhi Colony police station following a complaint by his younger brother Pramod Jha where Pramod accused Om of stealing.

In the complaint, Pramod accused Om of breaking the lock of his bicycle shop in Lodhi Colony accompanied by 3 other men and stealing 11 bicycles, expensive spare parts, sale deed of the house and important documents.

Last year, Swami Om was declared as a proclaimed offender by the Saket Court in Delhi in connection with the case. The Saket court subsequently issued a non-bailable warrant against Swami Om.

Swami Om was found hiding in a house in Bhajanpura in northeast Delhi and was arrested by a joint team of Lodhi Colony police station and Inter-State Cell of Crime Branch.

One of the original contestants on Bigg Boss, Swami Om became infamous for his bad behaviour and abusive nature. Finally he was asked to leave the show midway due to his behavioural issues.
