The Apex Court has rejected the request for further investigation in Sridevi's death on Friday. The filmmaker Sunil Singh had approached the Supreme authorities after his petition was rejected by the Delhi High Court. The SC, however, refuses to interfere with an already investigated case.

"We can't interfere with the probe," Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra told the petitioner. Sunil has said that Sridevi's sudden death had become an issue of national interest which should be resolved appropriately claiming that he was present at the time of her demise in Dubai.

Amidst the millions of her fans were speculating a conspiracy behind the actress' mysterious death, the filmmaker made a shocking claim stating he has gathered certain information from the Hotel staff, who revealed multiple facts which don't match with the media reports.

Petitioner's lawyer, Vikas Singh had also argued that Sridevi had a Rs 240 crore insurance policy in her name in Oman and the money could be released only if she died in UAE. Nonetheless, the Supreme Court is not ready to give permission for further investigation in Sridevi's death.

"We had already dismissed two petitions on the same issue.  We can't interfere," the Chief Justice reiterated. Renowned as the first female Superstar of Bollywood, Sridevi died in Dubai on February 24 of "accidental drowning" inside her suite at a luxury hotel.

The actress had gone to attend the wedding celebrations of her nephew Mohit Marwah along with her husband Boney Kapoor and younger daughter Khushi Kapoor. While the entire family had returned to India post the marriage, she stayed back, following which the tragedy took place.
