Punjabi sensation Diljit Dosanjh keeps proving with each of his Hindi outings that Bollywood was missing big time without the powerhouse performer for years. The extraordinary actor is back with another awe-inspiring story with Shaad Ali's 'Soorma'.

Makers dropped the much-awaited trailer of the hockey-based biopic on the life of international hockey player Sandeep Singh on Monday and left the cinephile impressed with the mind-boggling expression of passion, drama and strength with a pinch of romance.

The almost 3-minute clip stars from the flirtatious banter between carefree Diljit and serious Taapsee, leading up to his career-threatening accident and victorious comeback. Helmed by Shaad Ali, Soorma is scheduled to hit the theatres on July 13.

Apart from the jaw-dropping transformation of leading trio - Diljit Dosanjh, Taapsee Pannu and Angad Bedi, into their respective characters, the gripping trailer promised a life-changing journey of the hockey legend, on and off the field.

Regarded as the most impressive drag-flickers of all time with drag speed of over 145 km/hr, Sandeep Singh is credited for winning India gold at the 2009 Sultan Azlan Shah Cup tournament after 13 long years despite his two years' disappearance from the scene.

The Arjuna Awardee was seriously injured after being hit by an accidental gunshot in a train which left him paralysed. While his injury interrupted his sporting career, his recovery against the odds is an inspirational story which Soorma is expected to represent aptly.
