Shah Rukh Khan Is All Praises For Akshaye Khanna, Calls Him ‘Unreadable’

The veteran actor, Akshaye Khanna has hardly been recognised for his acting prowess but his upcoming film, ‘Ittefaq’ have surely has his admirers intrigued who feel that his action-packed role in the film could become a turning point in his career.

Akshaye will play a phlegmatic cop in ‘Ittefaq’ who doesn't trust anybody. The suspense thriller also has Sonakshi Sinha and Siddharth Malhotra playing the two suspects for two murders which as per the storyline takes place on the same night.

The mysterious concept of the film has grabbed many eyeballs, add the fact that Karan Johar, Renu Ravi Chopra along with Shah Rukh Khan have produced the film. More so, all three are extremely happy with the way the final product has come out to be.

Apart from the brilliant storyline and team efforts, it is the dedication of three main leads that has made the film impressive. But the actor who impressed King Khan the most is not Sonakshi or Siddharth but Akshaye.

Talking about the actor’s performance in ‘Ittefaq’, SRK said, “Akshaye is unreadable and that’s one of the plus points of the film. Personally, I feel that nobody could have essayed this role better than him.”

Adding to the Akshaye’s contribution to his character, the co-producer said, “Sidharth and Sonakshi Sinha present an able foil to Akshaye’s character in the film, which just adds to his performance and portrayal of this tough, no-nonsense cop.”

Shah has admitted to feeling a unique aura around Akshaye which has not just benefitted his character but his overall personality. He believes that Khanna has “a strange mystique about him that reflects in his acting.”

Reportedly, the film was shot for 50 days without break to meet the scheduled release date. 'Ittefaq' is slated to release on November 3. It is the adaptation of 1969 thriller directed by Yash Chopra. The film had Rajesh Khanna, Bindu, Nanda and Madan Puri in the lead roles.
