Apart from the buzz around his biopic 'Sanju', Bollywood's 'bad boy' Sanjay Dutt is signing films left and right. Already awaiting the release of multiple of his films, the actor has decided to jump into production after several years with the Hindi remake of Telugu hit 'Prasthanam'.

The family drama with a political backdrop with be helmed by the director of the original movie, Deva Katta. Apart from Sanjay Dutt, the film will also star Ali Fazal and Amyra Dastur. Now, the interesting fact, 'Prasthanam' remake is more or less all about the Dutts. How?

Male Lead - Sanjay Dutt, Producer - Maanayata Dutt, Commencement date - June 1, Nargis Dutt’s birth anniversary. You read that right, the film will not only mark the 'Dutts' comeback to production after 7 years but also go on floors on the actor's late mother's 89th birth anniversary.

The film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the news with a tweet, which read, "IT'S OFFICIAL... Sanjay Dutt, Ali Fazal and Amyra Dastur... Sanjay Dutt Productions' new movie #Prasthaanam to start shoot on Nargis ji's birth anniversary... Remake of Telugu film #Prasthanam... Deva Katta, who directed the original movie, will also direct the Hindi film."

Moreover, due to Sanjay's prior commitment, he is away in Kyrgyzstan for the shoot of his next film, Torbaaz, which is why his wife Maanayata has shouldered the production responsibility for 'Prasthanam'. Apart from leading in planning the production, she will also lead the discussions on the creatives.

Sanjay Dutt's last production venture was 2011 film 'Rascals' which also starred Kangana Ranaut and Ajay Devgn. The actor recently signed director Karan Malhotra's 'Shamshera' and will soon be shooting for Abhishek Varman's 'Kalank' and Ashutosh Gowarikar 'Panipat'.
