John Abraham and Diana Penty starrer 'Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran' will bring the unsaid story of India's first successful nuclear test after battling through multiple obstacles to theatres. Celebrating the 20 years completion since the first set of nuclear tests in Pokhran, makers released a trailer.
The power-packed trailer suggests that the film is based on six brave army officers who were asked to carry out the secret mission. Amidst the rushing feeling of patriotism and strategy to dodge the watchful eyes of CIA’s satellites, John Abraham reigns as the group's leader.
After a series of nuclear tests in the city of Pokhran in 1998 under the leadership of the then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the mission was completed successfully. However, the journey to reach the aim was excruciating due to the political and international atmosphere of the year.
'Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran' explores the mission through the eyes of an armed forces personnel played by Abraham, who had an important role in making the mission successful. Helmed by Abhishek Sharma, the film will now hit the theatres on May 25, 2018.
