Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus has finally received some assurance from the censor board after making few required cuts. While the fringe groups are still not happy with the film's release, speculations regarding the film hitting the theatres on Republic Day are high in the air.

Notably, Akshay Kumar's much-anticipated 'PadMan' and Neeraj Pandey's 'Aiyaary' are also releasing around the same time. Upon being questioned about the supposed clash, PadMan's co-producer Prernaa Arora said, "I am clueless what is happening... with clash. I have no idea about it."

However, the producer is aware of the current scenario and the rumours about Padmavat releasing on January 25 but is not worried about it. She conveyed, "Even we have heard about it. All we know is PadMan is releasing on January 25. Akshay announced it officially."

Surprisingly, Prernaa was doubtful about releasing her film on the same day as Sanjay Leela Bhansali's period drama and expressed, "Padmavat is a very important film. It's a beautiful film and it should release soon. I am also looking forward to see it."

Padmavat was recently cleared by Central Board of Film Certification for release after removing certain objectionable scenes and changing the title. Ever since the clearance, many reports that suggesting that the film might clash with Akshay's PadMan or Anushka Sharma's Pari.

Both the films have common producers and when Prernaa was questioned about her next film, she seemed all ready for the supposed box-office battle. "We are coming on February 9, we are waiting for official announcement on 'Padmavati' release date, so till then we cannot comment," she said.

Unlike Prernaa who is pretty confident about her films, Luv Ranjan whose film 'Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety' is slated to release on February 9 has a different point of view on the matter. Seeing no sense in clashing with the big film like Padmavat, he clarified, "If Padmavat comes on February 9 I will change the release date of my film."

Padmavat stars Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in the lead roles. The story revolves around the queen Padmini of Chittore, her husband Rawal Ratan Singh and the adversities they face while fighting the tyrant ruler Alauddin Khilji. The new release date is yet to be unveiled by the filmmakers.
