Sonam Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer Veere Di Wedding has been banned in Pakistan due to 'vulgar' language used in the movie, media reported on Wednesday. The Central Board of Film Certification has found the movie to be objectionable for release in the neighbouring country of Pakistan.

The movie is based on the lifestyle of four friends and their way may impress the youth generation but it failed in front of CBFC ratings which has passed it in India with an 'A' Certificate. As it has some interesting dialogues and friendhip goals it is likely that the youth will definitely like the movie but the sources have made it clear that the censor board is not ready to accept such indecent language and abusive dialogues.

'Veere Di Wedding' depicts life of 4 friends played by Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Shikha Talsania and Swara Bhaskar. They openly discuss what they feel about life and their expectations from their lives and the girls often talk about their marital life and their sex life as well.

All members of the Censor Board unanimously came to a decision to ban Veere Di Wedding while the film's distributors also withdrew their application to release it in Pakistan after witnessing its questionable content.

However, the Sindh Film Censors had cleared the film after making a few cuts. But after CBFC banned the film, Punjab Film Censor Board has also followed suit.

"This film is not acceptable in our society due to its vulgarity and sexual dialogues are spoken by the four girls and so, we decided to ban it," said a sensor board official.
