The Bollywood song “Mere Rashke Qumar” of Ajay Devgan's upcoming movie 'Baadshaho' is cutting through the hearts of Indian audience these days.

Given its recent popularity, it might come as a surprise to many that the song is actually neither recent nor Indian. It was originally sung by Pakistani singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and written by Fana Buland Shehri, that too ‘over 40 years ago’.

The song has been featured in the upcoming movie ‘Baadshaho’ recreated by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. The movie stars Ajay Devgan and Ileana D'Cruz and is scheduled to release on September 1.
