A Holi Song Like Never Before, 'Latth Maar' From Toilet Ek Prem Katha

Bollywood Khiladi Akshay Kumar's upcoming movie Toilet- Ek Prem Katha where he stars alongside Bhumi Pednekar promises to be an absolutely 'hatke' movie given its storyline, and accordingly the Holi song of the movie ' Gori Tu Latth Maar' is also hatke.

Composed by Manas-Shikhar and sung by the melodious Sonu Nigam and Palak Munchal, the song Gori Tu Latth Maar is set to a slower beat than what might be expected of a Holi song. Depicted on Akshay and Bhumi's characters Keshav and Jaya, the song follows Keshav's attempts to apologise to Jaya and the lyrics reflect his sadness that she is upset.

The movie itself 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha' is based on the social issue of open defecation in certain villages and has been hailed as a great initiative for the by the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan. The story follows a couple Keshav and Jaya, and when Jaya learns that the family does not have a toilet in their home, she protests and then leaves. Keshav fights to build toilet facilities and bring back Jaya.
