The release of long-awaited film Haseena Parkar starring Shraddha Kapoor in a hard-hitting role as the sister of Mumbai underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, has been delayed yet again.
The makers exposed the actual reason behind the decision of not releasing of Haseena Parker on August 18. The makers have delayed the awaited biopic again for the fourth time and still the date of releasing has not been disclosed yet.
As per the reports, this decision was taken by the film's distributor Anil Thandani, producers and director Apoorva Lakhia because the on-going month already witnesses so many releases. In this situation, Haseena Parker would face a buckram competition from movies like Shah Rukh Khan's Jab Harry Met Sejal, Akshay Kumar's Toilet Ek Prem Katha, Bareily Ki Barfi, Newton and Partition 1947.
The makers are pretty sure about the film and don't want it to be lost in the huddle of new releases - sources said. The director said the decision to postpone Haseena Parkar was taken to get more and more screens and make a worthy run at the box office.
Earlier, it was assumed to strike with Jagga Jasoos in July but later on, it was decided to delay the release to 18th August so that it could not clash with Anil Kapoor starrer Mubarakan.
