While Rajkummar Rao is looking like a love-pick yet tough Police inspector with a goofy smile, his co-star Nargis Fakhri seems all too happy to explore the diverse culture of India. With Humayun Tomb in the background and people dancing in the background, the poster suggests a compelling outing.

Helmed the Indo-American film director Namrata Singh Gujral, the film revolves around the life of an American Journalist (Nargis Fakhri) who visits India and a police officer named Harabhajan Singh (Rajkummar Rao) is hired to assist her in her journey.

Talking about the film, the director had told Mumbai Mirror, "The film is a colourful mosaic of lost loves, transgender tangles and culture clashes along the heartfelt journey of life, symbolised by the universal ups and downs of a wedding celebration."

The celebrated cast of '5 Weddings' also includes Oscar nominee Candy Clark, Golden Globe nominee Bo Derek and Dutch-American actor Anneliese Van der Pol. The film will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on May 10 before releasing in India, USA and Canada on August 24, 2018.
