When Canadian PM Met Big Khans Of Bollywood, Talks Of Wisdom And Future Collaborations Flew Around

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is currently on a week-long tour to India along with his family and has been going around to promote investment and cultural ties between the two countries.

After visiting the iconic Taj Mahal and addressing the aspiring entrepreneurs at IIM Ahmadabad, Trudeau stopped in Mumbai to discuss various prospective collaborations with the state's CM Devendra Fadnavis.

Apart from discussing the expansion of business, investment and cultural ties between Canada and Maharashtra, Trudeau also met some renowned names from the Indian Film industry including Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan.

Clad in traditional attires, Trudeau along with his wife Sophie Gregoire,  daughter Ella-Grace and elder son Xavier James shared some special moments with the two stars and discussed new co-production opportunities between Bollywood and the Canadian Film Industry.

Anupam Kher also marked his presence at the event and met the charming PM of Canada and talked about people, culture and cinema with Justin Trudeau. The singer-actor-director Farhan Akhtar also expressed being inspired Trudeau's leadership.

He further thanked the duo for joining his team of delegates to "celebrate a brighter future for the film industry in both our countries". Trudeau has earlier visited Sabarmati ashram in Ahmadabad where he expressed of being at peace.

The Canadian Prime Minister is delighted with his visit to India. He has earlier said, "For me to be able to be here on an official trip while bringing my kids with me to share this is really special and being able to enjoy this as a dad with my kids is really nice."

Trudeau is expected to participate in a number round-tables in Mumbai to further promote business ties between India and Canada. He is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with PM Modi on Friday, a day before he wraps up his tour.
