Every movie and TV show which features stunts comes with a clear disclaimer, do not try this on your own. One Mumbai businessman found out why.

Bhiwandi based businessman Indrapal Patil, 27, had gone to visit the Mahuli fort in Shahapur on July 14 with friends and attempted to recreate the famous jump made by Prabhas in the epic saga Baahubali and jumped off a higher level at the waterfall into the gushing water below. As monsoon season had resulted in higher water levels, Indrapal was killed when he made the jump.

His brother Mahendra from Amne village near Bhiwandi spoke to media and said, "We were informed by the police that he fell from a height and died. It was shocking for all of us, even more so for his wife."

Mahendra alleged that Indrapal was pushed and did not jump himself.

"My brother was pushed. It must have either been a planned attack, or someone might have accidentally or playfully pushed him," he said.

According to the Shahapur police, eyewitnesses saw that the Indrapal had jumped.

"Eyewitnesses informed that the deceased jumped - rather than fell - from a height, tried to land on his feet, missed and went underwater. His friends got him out," said PI BH Pawar of Shahapur police station.

"It appears that these leaps are inspired by the jump in the movie Baahubali," he added.

The Shahapur police have reported that such incidents are becoming more frequent, especially during the monsoon months.
