The legendary writer Rabindranath Tagore wrote a number of iconic stories and poems through his career and the short story Kabuliwala received unprecedented fame due to the characters' innocence and intrusive plot. The story has been adapted into a feature film titled 'Bioscopewala'.

The film starring yesteryear's renowned actor Danny Denzongpa in titular character is an extended version of Tagore original story as it starts with the ending of Kabuliwala. Makers recently dropped a poignant trailer which beautifully conveys the emotions of pain, separation and longing.

The 2-minute long video begins with the introduction of grown-up Mini Basu (Geetanjali Thapa), who has lost her father in a plane crash. In a bit to reconnect with the memories of her childhood, the young lady comes across an old man, whom she remembers as the bioscopewala.

Follows through the glimpses of a young Mini (Miraya Suri) fascinated with the bioscopewala and how the latter taught her to tell stories. She comes to know that Danny longs to meet his daughter, whom he lost in the war-torn Kabul, Afghanistan and takes it upon herself to unravel his story.

Mysterious characters and the intriguing journey is what the cinephile can expect from Danny Denzongpa's comeback film after being last seen in 'Naam Shabana'. Helmed by Deb Medhekar, the film also starring Tisca Chopra and Adil Hussain will hit the theatres on May 25.
