Bhuj: The Pride Of India -Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Rana Daggubati, Parineeti Chopra, Ammy Virk Join Ajay Devgn's War Drama

Produced by T-series and Select Media Holdings LLP, the magnum opus Bhuj: The Pride of India, is all set to go several notches higher with its new magnificent ensemble cast.

With Ajay Devgn already leading this project as the makers bring this crucial real-life incident from the history books to the big screen, there are some more credible names adding to the thrill of the film.

Sanjay Dutt’s commanding presence, Sonakshi Sinha’s alluring strength, Rana Daggubati’s versatility and Parineeti Chopra’s vivacity along with Punjabi superstar Ammy Virk’s power-packed performance, make sure that Bhuj: The Pride of India will be a visual treat for the audience.

The film is based on true events and will be written and directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya. Devgn will depict Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik, who was the supervisor of Bhuj airport in Gujarat during the Indo-Pak war of 1971.

It was Karnik and his team, with the help of the local women, who reconstructed the destroyed Indian Air Force airstrip at Bhuj in Gujarat, in what could be termed as India’s ‘Pearl Harbour’ moment.

In the film, Sanjay will be seen as Ranchordas Svabhai Ravari, who helped the army to win the war. Whereas Sonakshi will play the role of a social worker named Sunderben Jetha Madharparya. On the other hand, Parineeti's character will be of an Indian spy named Heena Rehman.

Rana Daggubati will play the role of Madras regiment Lt. Colonel while Ammy Virk will be seen as a fighter pilot. Apart from Bhuj: The Pride of India, Ajay will also star in De De Pyaar De, Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior and SS Rajamouli’s RRR.
