Harassment from males, whether they are on the street or co-workers, is a shocking reality of life for women in India, and even actresses are not immune from this harassment despite how many people surround them.
Baahubali fame actress Scarlett Wilson who was seen in the 'Manohari' song in 'Baahubali: The Beginning' faced harassment from another actor trying to misbehave with her on the sets of her upcoming movie 'Hansa – Ek Sanyog'.
According to reports, Bhojpuri actor Umakant Rai made crude gestures towards Wilson while she was performing an item song in the film. Rai then attempted to touch her hair, in response, Wilson slapped him and angrily walked off the sets halting the shoot. Rai was also removed from the sets following the incident.
Taking further action against Rai, the producer of ‘Hansa – Ek Sanyog’ Suresh Sharma has said that he will lodge a complaint with the Film Federation of India and get Rai to apologise for his behaviour. If he doesn't apologise he runs the risk of losing his acting license.
The Hindi movie 'Hansa – Ek Sanyog' is said to be based on a true story.
Wilson will next be seen in Akshay Kumar starrer Gold.
