The upcoming movie starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui ‘Babumoshai Bandookbaaz’ faced the extreme anger of the censor board for its bold content and it was also reported that the producer of the film Kiran Shroff had faced humiliating comments from a certain CBFC(Central board of Film Certification) member. To get the certification for the film the makers of the film decided to approach FCAT(Film Certification Appellate Tribunal). It was reported that CBFC cleared Babumoshai Bandookbaaz and certified the film with an ‘A’ certificate.
Earlier CBFC recommended 48 cuts from the movie but now reports say that FCAT has asked the makers of ‘Babumoshai Bandookbaaz’ to make 7 to 8 voluntary cuts. These 7 to 8 cuts will remove the adult certification from the movie.
The makers agreed with FCAT and decided to go with 7 to 8 cuts, as since the movie is readying for release 48 cuts would have created more difficult situations for all the team of the film.
‘Babumoshai Bandookbaaz’ is an upcoming Indian action thriller film directed by Kushan Nandy and produced by Kiran Shyam Shroff and Ashmith Kunder. The film features Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Bengali actress Bidita Bag in the lead roles.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui tweeted thanking FCAT for clearing ‘Badumoshai Bandookbaaz’ with minor cuts.
