Akshay Kumar, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt And Others Join Pm Modi’s Drive For Voting Awareness

As the 2019 Lok Sabha Election is around the corner, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged citizens to visit their nearest voting center and vote their choice of candidate and spread the awareness by using popular trending Bollywood slogans in his tweets.

To ensure the highest level of voter awareness ahead of elections, the PM was seen posting messages on his social media handle about the same. Some of his tweets are quirky, fun yet insightful.

In a series of tweets, PM Modi reached out to celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Bhumi Pednekar, Ayushmann Khurrana, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Anushka Sharma, Ranveer Singh, Varun Dhawan, Vicky Kaushal and many more.

The prime minister used some popular dialogues from Ranveer’s ‘Gully Boy’ and Vicky’s ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ to urge the actors to increase voter participation.

He also sent out similar tweets to other actors. Just minutes after the Prime Minister tweeted, a few of them started to respond to Modi’s request.

Responding to PM Narendra Modi's request to aid in increasing the 2019 voter turnout, many Bollywood celebrities in the likes of Akshay Kumar, Karan Johar, and musician A. R Rahman hit out replies on Twitter.
