The power of the Khans, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan is legendary in Bollywood as the mere name of their starring in a film is sufficient to draw crowds to the theatres, however, since even SRK and Salman have registered flops at the box office recently, Akshay Kumar is emerging as a more 'bankable' star.

Bollywood's Khiladi Akshay has scored a series of hits on the big screen and has appeared in several off-beat films as well. His upcoming film, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha has generated plenty of buzz and is being eagerly awaited as well.

A report in Variety magazine recently said, "Akshay Kumar is Bollywood's banker, churning out hit after hit, including Rustom, Airlift, and the Jolly LLB franchise."

Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is predicted to be a game changer in the international market as the film readies to be launched in non-traditional international markets as well, such as Japan and Chile.

The Shree Narayan Singh-directed film is "looking to go beyond Indian cinema's traditional international market," reports Variety.

According to Variety magazine, the traditional Indian cinema overseas market consists of around 50 territories including the US, UK, Gulf nations, Australia and New Zealand, however Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is to be released in another additional 20 territories including Greece, Czech Republic, Hungary, Malta, Croatia, Estonia, and Latvia.

"With Rustom widely accepted and loved across the world, we were emboldened to go for a bigger and more aggressive release," Prerna Arora and Arjun N Kapoor of Kriarj Entertainment, the producers of Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, told Variety.
